Fall-ing for October

Fall-ing for October

I can’t believe that it is already October, this year has literally flown by! I guess that is what happens when you are having fun! I love October because it means its the start of Fall, which is probably my favorite season (until it gets too cold)! Fall means football, fire pits, Halloween, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, candy corn, corn mazes, haunted houses, candy in general, and it leads to the start of the holidays!

Now that we have a place of our own, I am finally able to start working on my fall and halloween decorations. I do not have much yet, but slowly I will get there. So far I have gotten a couple of projects done. I have a fall themed subway print that I found here. I would’ve liked to have this in a bigger size, but to start, I just have an 8×10″. I printed it on card stock and got a frame on sale at Michaels, super cheap project, which is my favorite!! I have this on the table with two hurricane vases that I still need to get candy corn to put as the base for the candles to sit on.

The next project I completed is a Boo sign to ad some Halloween decor! I bought wooden letters, black and orange paint, and orange ribbon from Michaels. I started off painting the letters black, as they were white to start.

After the black paint dried, I added orange polka dots, because who doesn like polka dots (I may even have a obsession)! To paint the dots I used a Q-tip.

After the painting was done, I used the orange ribbon to tie the letters together. I added a bow to finish it off. Here is the finished project!
